H.G. Wells just sent you back in a time machine! These splendid baseboard registers were frequently used with gravity systems as well as forced air. No more combing the salvage yard to try and find a replacement for your damaged or worn out register. Eye-catching and well-designed, these solid steel composition beauties boast a single valve thumb actuated damper to provide airflow control. Offered in two common sizes, with a sturdy baked on flat black or white powder coat finish, the grill can be detached to easily clean the duct. The damper is contoured adding strength and stability with tension screws to adjust damper operation. Mounting hardware is included.
Antique gravity baseboard registers rested on the finished floor and were fastened to the wall with wood screws. The baseboards typically butted up against the sides of the heat register. To match existing trim, it is important to consider the overall size of the register. However, it is also important to measure the duct to be certain that the damper will open into the duct behind the heat register.
